Mrs. Stephaine Michele "Burt" Smith

Stephaine Michele Smith, 52, of Vine Grove, KY (Meade County) passed away Friday, February 6, 2026 at her residence with her family by her side.

Born into a family that valued kindness and compassion, Stephanie naturally grew into a caregiver, a role she embraced with her whole heart. Her caring nature extended beyond her immediate family, touching the lives of many who had the privilege of experiencing her warmth and generosity. Stephanie's capacity to love knew no bounds, and she poured her heart into every relationship, especially with her grandchildren. In the heart of her home, Stephanie reigned as the family chef. Her kitchen was a place of gathering, where the aromas of her lovingly prepared meals brought joy to family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul & Vi Burt.

Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband, Tommy; eight children, Kim, Aerick, Josh, Kelli, Deena, Amanda, Savanah, Kidada; eleven grandchildren, Kelsey, Alexia, Jace, Liam, Eli, Lucas, Gabriel, Grayson, Ember, Landon, Kayden; a sister, Paula; and a host of extended family & friends.

Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 14, 2026 at Chism Family Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Mrs. Smith will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 14, 2026 at the chapel of Chism Family Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.
