Stephan C. Kremer of Cuyahoga Falls passed away unexpectedly in Park City, UT while doing one of the things he loved best, skiing with family and friends. Stephan was born in Buffalo, NY to Gerald and Marianne Kremer, and moved as a young child to Amherst, OH where he attended Amherst City Schools. He graduated with a B.S. in business from the University of Akron in 1989, where he was a proud member of Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity. It is here that he met the love of his life, Kristina Spahr. Stephan received his Juris Doctorate from The University of Akron School of Law in 1993. He practiced law for over 30 years, building an impeccable reputation as a litigator. He was sworn in to Bar of The United States Supreme Court in 2019. Beyond his legal career, Stephan's interests were equally impressive, he was a true Renaissance Man. He completed two Ironman Triathlons, and ran many marathons, including the Boston Marathon twice. He helped run a local bourbon co-op, made wine with a group of friends, built everything from a home bourbon bar and wine cellar to a new fireplace, and loved to cook and try new recipes with Tina. He loved bringing people from all parts of his life together, and he and Tina hosted legendary holiday parties as well as an annual 'Kremerfest'. They also hosted anyone at any time that needed a chat, a laugh, or a cry. Stephan's favorite saying was "Kremer Cellars is always open." Stephan and Tina were avid travelers and loved seeking out new destinations as well as revisiting favorites. They loved live music, and Steph could get anyone on the dance floor. One of the things that brought him the most pleasure was teaching skiing at Boston Mills. Sharing his love of the sport with a new generation of skiers brought him immense satisfaction. But the greatest joy of Steph's life was being a husband, father, and grandfather. His family was his biggest priority, and they knew it. He coached sports he never played, he planned adventures, he was their biggest cheerleader and confidant. He was so proud of Tina, Zach, Josh, Alyssa and Ava. They were his world, and he made sure they knew it. Steph lived large and loved huge. Please honor him by doing the same.

Stephan was preceded in death by his father, Gerald. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Tina; devoted sons Joshua (Alyssa) and Zachary, and the apple of his eye, his granddaughter, Ava. He is also survived by his mother Marianne, brother Marcus (Niki), niece Addison, nephew Jack, his Father-in-Law, Kenneth Spahr (Helen), sister and brother -in-law Anne Spahr Wells and Erik Wells, and countless friends and "brothers."

Please join us to celebrate a life well lived on Sunday May 4th from 1-4pm at Boston Mills Ski Resort, 7100 Riverview Road Peninsula, OH. Raise a glass, share a story, sing, dance and celebrate Steph. Wear your brightest, most ridiculous, make Kremer proud. Sunday, May 4th

The Stephan Kremer Endowed Scholarship has been established in his memory at The University of Akron (www.uakron.edu/development/). Donations can also be made in his memory to The National Ability Center in Park City, UT (discovernac.org). The family and their friends who were skiing in Park City together would like to extend their thanks to the Park City Mountain Ski Patrol, his Life Flight Team, and the care team at The University of Utah Hospital for the care and support they provided to Stephan.
