Stephanie "Taffy" Kay Current, age 66, of Danbury, WI, passed away Friday, October 24, 2025, at SSM Health St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac, WI.

Taffy was born March 2, 1959, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Bruce and Janet (Taylor) Diamond. She grew up and attended high school in Chicago. Taffy married Robert Edward Bogat Jr. and together they had their daughter Georgia Rose Bogat-Diamond. They later divorced and she married James "Jimmy" Current, who preceded her in death. She loved music and loved to laugh but above all she loved her family, daughter and granddaughter, who were the light of her life. Taffy was known as a firecracker, feisty and had a lot of spirit. She loved spending time on her motorcycle and lived the gypsy outlaw life. Taffy spent her life living it to the fullest and having fun. She loved the sunshine and the beach. Taffy was a proud member the St. Croix Chippewa tribe.

She is survived by her daughter Georgia; granddaughter Jayla Alexandra Rose Kingfisher; brother Bruce "Robin" Diamond; significant other Tim Gruenhagen; and goddaughter Sara Taylor.

Taffy was preceded in death by her father Bruce Diamond; mother Janet Beck; husband Jimmy Current; grandparents Steve & Virginia Taylor; aunt Carmen Taylor; and uncle Steve Taylor.

Tribal Funeral Rites will begin at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, November 6, 2025, at Pineview Funeral Service in Hayward. Gary Quaderer Sr. will officiate. Visitation will be held from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
