In loving memory of Stephanie LeGrand
"She lived to serve, loved without limits, and left behind a legacy of compassion."
Stephanie LeGrand, a devoted daughter, sister, friend, and compassionate nurse, passed away on June 26, 2025. Born on August 21, 1994, at St. Michael's Hospital to the loving union of Robin and Merilyne LeGrand, Stephanie entered the world with quiet strength and a heart full of grace.
Stephanie was the kind of soul that lit up every room she walked into. From a young age, Stephanie was drawn to caring for others. Despite life's challenges, she pursued her passion with determination, earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University in 2018. Nursing wasn't just a profession for her-it was her calling. She treated each patient with tenderness, dignity, and the same care she gave her own family.
Stephanie continued her journey toward becoming a Nurse Practitioner at her alma mater, a dream she fought hard for. But due to her illness, she made the painful decision to step away-just two classes shy of completing the program.
Though her life was cut short far too soon, Stephanie's impact is lasting. She leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and service. Her hands may no longer tend to the sick, but her touch is still felt in the lives of every patient she cared for, every friend she comforted, and every soul she inspired.
Outside of her career, Steph wore many hats-each one filled with love. Steph was a devoted daughter, a loyal sister, a loving aunt, a gentle godmother and a faithful friend. She cherished every moment spent with her family and always found ways to create meaningful memories together. Any chance she had, she made sure it was special-always done in true " Stephanie Glam " fashion.
Steph didn't just play the role of sister-she embodied everything it meant to be one. She was a protector, a cheerleader, a late-night talk partner, and a built-in best friend. Her siblings weren't just family-they were her world. She celebrated every win, comforted every loss, and always showed up with love, wisdom, and just the right words. Being a sister wasn't just something she was-it was something she lived. She adored her nieces and loved spoiling them every chance she got. And above all, Steph was a great daughter. She was the kind of daughter every parent dreams of raising. Steph made her parents proud not just because of the milestones she achieved, but because of the woman she became.
Her battle with cancer revealed the depth of her strength. Though the treatments were draining, Steph faced each one with grace, grit, and humor. Many didn't know the extent of what she was enduring-because she refused to let her illness define her. She continued to fight, not just for herself, but for those who loved her.
Faith was the cornerstone of her life. Steph believed deeply in God's timing and purpose. On April 5, 2025, she was baptized-publicly reaffirming her faith and finding peace in surrender. That moment marked a profound victory for her soul, even in the midst of hardship.
Stephanie's legacy lives on in us. In every laugh shared at the dinner table, every lesson passed down, every "I love you" that now echoes louder than ever.
The love she gave so freely has not ended. It is alive in the way we choose to treat one another. In how we show up for our families, how we serve our communities, how we find strength in faith.
We are her legacy now. Her story continues in the way we carry her legacy forward-by loving boldly, giving freely, and walking in faith even when it's hard.
Stephanie is survived by her parents, Robin and Merilyne LeGrand; her siblings, Rodson, Shyheima, and Roshnalyn LeGrand; her cherished nieces, Beverly and Genesis LeGrand; and a village of aunts, uncles, cousins, godchildren, coworkers, friends, and patients who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.
