Stephanie A.C. Morabito, 60, of Totowa, N.J., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Paterson, N.J. to Mario and Mildred (née DePalo) Gaita, Stephanie remained a lifelong resident of Totowa, N.J. Stephanie's life was a testament to her dedication to her family and community. She had a long and fulfilling career, most recently working as an administrative assistant in the Business Office at Passaic Valley High School and prior to that, as a court stenographer in Passaic and Bergen counties. She loved to bake and make chocolate-covered treats, spend time with her family and friends, sell Mary Kay cosmetics and Touchstone Crystal jewelry, and stay involved in her local communities. Stephanie was a devout parishioner of Lincoln Park Abundant Life Worship Center, a member of the Passaic Valley Education Foundation, and the former president of the Passaic Valley Band Parents Association.
She was predeceased by her parents and her devoted husband, Joseph M. Morabito, Sr. Stephanie leaves behind her cherished children, Joseph M., Jr. and his wife Danielle, and Adam Morabito, all of Totowa, who were the pride and joy of her life. She is also survived by her brother, Mario Gaita, Jr., her sister-in-law Ruthellen and their children Danielle, Melissa, and Thomas of Totowa, her uncle, Frank Gaita, Sr. (Rose) of Wayne; and many other nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends who will miss her dearly.
Visitation will be on Monday, August 12, from 4-8 p.m., with a service to be offered at 7:00 p.m. at Gaita Memorial Home, 154 Newark Pompton Turnpike, Little Falls, N.J. We invite all relatives and friends to join us for a final visitation on Tuesday, August 13 at 8:15 a.m. at the funeral home with interment at George Washington Memorial Park Cemetery in Paramus. A service to celebrate Stephanie's life will immediately follow at 11:30 a.m. at Abundant Life Worship Center, 103 Jacksonville Road, Lincoln Park. I met Stephanie in Court Reporting school. She and her family were so kind to me. I am so sad to learn of the health struggles she endured. God bless her children, may she watch over them and send signs from the eternal life she has now entered.
