Stephanie's greatest joy in life was her family, and if you had a minute or two, she would gladly show you pictures, and tell you all about family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was a unique soul, one of a kind, and always expressed pleasure in making folks laugh as she told stories of her life and travels. Stephanie and her husband, Joe traveled throughout the country polka dancing, where they met many wonderful friends, creating treasured lifelong memories.
Stephanie wore many hats during her life...including that of loving homemaker and various jobs, the longest of which was at MSA. She also volunteered as a teachers' aide and as a hospital "candy striper." Both she and her husband always gave willingly of their time to help with grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Stephanie was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph in 2008; daughter, Judith Ann Smith 2006; grandson, Bryan 2011; her parents, Adam and Casimeria Szulborski, as well as siblings, Jane and Marion. Survivors include a son, Joseph A (Barbara) Ruskowitz; six grandchildren, Lisa (Kelly) Williams; Michael Smith; Erika Smith; Kristen Smith and Adam Ruskowitz; 5 great-grandchildren, Ryker (Emily), Emma, Kyle, Kaitlyn and Kori; sister, Genevieve Strucaly, and son-in-law, Rick Smith. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, and countless others who considered her family.
The family sincerely thanks Interim Hospice for helping to make Stephanie's final journey more comfortable.

The obituary tells it all for us as far as a first memory. We met Stephanie when our children were little and you could tell immediately her love for families. She welcomed us as one of her own and we have never forgotten that.
