Obituary of Stephanie Kay Simpkins
Stephanie Kay Simpkins, age 43, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove. She was born in LaCrosse, WI, on August 8, 1980.
Stephanie was a loving and caring person, her children were her life. She cared for, nurtured, and lived for her children with everything she had. As a wife, there was none like her! Stephanie was kind, loving, as well as understanding. She stood by everyone she loved. She worked in health care nearly her entire working career, achieving her primary goal in becoming a Nurse. As a Nurse, she was everything you wanted. Her attention to detail in her patient's care never went unnoticed and was praised by the people she cared for. She will be missed by everyone she's known. Our hearts have a permanent spot for her and who she is.
Stephanie is survived by her loving husband, Billy Ray Simpkins; her children, Miguel Mazaba, Jr., Brianna Noel Mazaba, and Cristian Ivan Mazaba; her step-children, Brittany LeeAnn Spanos and Zoe GraceAnn Simpkins; her mother, Kathleen Marie Rybarczyk; her sister, Jessica Sorenson; and her grandmother, Eileen Rybarczyk.
She is preceded in death by her grandfather, Bernard Rybarczyk (2013).
As it was her last wish, cremation rites have been accorded, and private family services are being held. Arrangements entrusted to the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, Joliet. For more information, please call 815-741-5500, or to leave an online condolence, visit her Memorial Tribute page at www.fredcdames.com.
