The beautiful soul of Stephanie Telalmia Woods, 39, of Rutherfordton, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 9, 2024.

Born in McDowell County on August 12, 1984, to Steven Woods and Stella Renee Whiteside Woods. Stephanie was a woman of strength, grace, and boundless love. Her infectious laughter and unwavering kindness touched the lives of everyone she encountered. Her presence illuminated every room, and her compassion knew no bounds. Stephanie was well known for her unwavering love and commitment to truth, so as we reflect on her life, lit us remember her for the joy she brought into our lives.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, J.T. and Loretta Woods; maternal grandfather, McArthur Whiteside; special aunts, Andrea and Rosie. Those left to cherish her memory include her parents, Steve and Stella Woods; her sons, Keyshawn and Mason Boyce; her brother, Devae Woods; sister and brother, Tia & Jay Jackson; sister and brother, Monika and Brandon Hayes; maternal grandmother, Minerva Whiteside; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces , nephews, and cousins.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Beam Celebration Center with Rev. Walter Pegues officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 pm.

Interment will follow at McDowell Memorial Park. Family and friends are welcome to join in the Repast at Addie's Chapel United Methodist Church.
