Stephen "Stevie" Brian Allen, 53, of Madison, Ohio passed away unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, October 25, 2025.
He was born February 25, 1972, in Conneaut, Ohio to Doris Allen and Gerald Cox. He graduated from Edgewood Senior High School and the Ashtabula County Joint Vocational School.
On August 8, 2009, he married Melissa Wheeler at Plymouth United Methodist Church and together they have shared 16 years of love and happiness.
Stephen worked for 6 years as the maintenance floor technician at Mentor Woods Nursing Home and for 4 years as the maintenance technician at Sahara Mobile Home Trailer Park. In addition, he worked on-and-off for many years with Kings Towing, which was his passion. He was a Christian man and attended Perry Methodist Church and Cowboy Church. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, car racing, playing Santa Claus, camping, enjoying family and friends and having campfires.
He is survived by his wife, Melissa Allen and his dogs, Maxie and Hope; father, Gerald Cox; sister, Shelly Olsen; nieces, Alexis Olsen, Addysen Olsen and Savanna Wheeler.
Stephen was preceded in death by his mother, Doris Allen; brother, Michael Allen; grandparents, Esther and Mont Bagnall; dog, Mr. Peanut.
A Memorial Service will be held at 5:30pm on Friday, November 14, 2025, at First Church of Christ, 422 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, Ohio 44077. A dinner will be provided after the service. His urn will be buried at a later date.
In place of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to his wife, Melissa Allen, c/o Lake Erie Cremation and Funeral Services, 1500 Harpersfield Road, Geneva, Ohio 44041. Envelopes will also be available at the Memorial Service.
