Bryan Simon Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Zaback-Williams-Ducro Funeral Home on Mar. 10, 2026.
Bryan Lee Simon, 60, of Saybrook Township, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 9, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born on May 25, 1965, in Ashtabula, Ohio, he was the son of Robert "Bob" and Ruth (Hall) Simon. A lifelong resident of the area, Bryan graduated from Edgewood High School with the Class of 1984. On September 3, 1991, he married the love of his life, Lori Lorigo, and together they built a life grounded in faith, devotion, and family.

Bryan was a man of honor and integrity. He proudly served his country in the United States Army for five years before returning home to begin the next chapter of his life. He went on to work at Ineos in Ashtabula for 29 years, rising through the ranks to become Superintendent through his dedication, leadership, and strong work ethic.

He lived by the motto God–Family–Country, and he embodied it every day. A true servant of God, Bryan was an active member of Gateway Church, where he also served on the board. He found great purpose in mission work and helping others, and through his service, humility, and steady guidance, he became someone many looked up to.

Bryan loved the outdoors-whether hunting, fishing, or simply taking in the beauty of nature. Above all, he cherished time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren, who were the light of his life.

He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Lori; his parents, Robert and Ruth Simon; his children, Jared (Jess Della Penna) and Jonathan (Heather) Simon; and his beloved grandchildren, Aidyn, Jensen, Landon, Wesley, Eleanor, and Sophia Simon. He is also survived by his siblings, Robert (Joy) Simon, Tamara Hansen, and Michael Simon.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Gateway Church, 2300 Austinburg Rd., Ashtabula, with Rev. J. Jason Toro officiating. Burial will follow at Saybrook Cemetery, with military honors from the Ashtabula County Honor Guard.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026, from 4:00–7:00 PM, and again on Saturday from 9:00–10:00 AM at at the Gateway Church, 2300 Austinburg Rd., Ashtabula.

Memorial contributions may be made in Bryan's name to Gateway Church, c/o Convoy of Hope, 2300 Austinburg Rd., Ashtabula, Ohio 44004.
