Stephen Michael Austin, 46, of Harrisburg, NC went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, February 23, 2025.
Stephen, known affectionately by his family as "Weevie", was born February 5, 1979 in Concord, NC to Stephen Mark Austin and Crystal LuAnn Austin.
He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Betty Austin; and grandmother, Linda Williams; grandmother, Crystal Williams; as well as his uncles, Jimmy and David Austin, and David Steele.
Survivors include his parents, Mark and LuAnn Austin of Harrisburg, NC; brother, John Austin of Harrisburg, NC; daughter, Taylor Austin and mother Christy; and son, Ryker Austin and mother Megan of Concord, NC; and grandfather, Ronnie Williams of Kannapolis, NC. He also leaves behind many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends to cherish his memories.
Stephen was a loving and humble person, who loved his family with all his heart. He was always thinking of others, and had a gentle spirit towards all of God's creation. Stephen loved Jesus and loved witnessing to others and sharing his love for the Lord.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 am - 1:45 pm, Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Harrisburg, 12115 University City Blvd., Harrisburg, NC 28075. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home of Harrisburg Chapel, officiated by Rev. Ray Helms. He will be laid to rest at the Carolina Memorial Park in Harrisburg. The Funeral Service will be available in webcast.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Blessed Hope Church of Harrisburg, or Met by Love Ministries in Shelby, NC. Hartsell Funeral Home of Harrisburg is serving the Austin family.
