Stephen W. Bancroft, age 79, of Elgin, IL died peacefully Saturday evening, December 20th, surrounded by his immediate family.
Steve was born on August 19, 1946 in Geneva Illinois. Prior to retirement, he was Vice President of Construction for Equity Marketing Services, a family owned and run condominium sales business. After retirement, Steve explored a passion for boating and spending time with his grandsons playing horse in his pool in Florida.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl of Elgin, IL; son, Todd (Michelle) of St. Charles, IL; and two grandsons, Stephen (Mev) and Michael. He was preceded in death by his parents Clayton and Jean, and his sister Cindy.
Visitation will be held Saturday, January 17th from 1:00-4:00 P.M. at Yurs Funeral Home, St. Charles. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Association.
