Stephen William Barry Sr.

1957 - 2024

Stephen "Steve" William Barry, Sr., passed away at Our Lady of Lake on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at the age of 67. He was born in Lafayette, LA on August 6, 1957. He worked as an operator at Honeywell for 40 years. He enjoyed playing drums, riding motorcycles, working in the yard since retirement, and enjoying time with family and friends on the river. He was preceded in death by his parents, JoAnn Barry and Lawrence Kent Barry. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Susan Davis Barry; daughter, Sarah Ayme Brumfield (Chris); son, Stephen William Barry, Jr. (Dawn); grandchildren, Porter Ayme, Liam and Finn Barry, Addison and Laney Brumfield; sister, Julie Barry Pitcher (Joey); brother, Kenny Barry (Cindy). Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy. Baton Rouge, LA 70816, on Friday, August 16, 2024, from 1:30 p.m. until services at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Broadmoor Baptist Church, or the charity of your choosing.
