Stephen Thomas Berry, a devout Christian and beloved family man, was called home to be with the Lord on November 9, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on May 6, 1947, in Scranton, Pennsylvania, Stephen's journey through life was marked by unwavering faith, dedication to his family, and a love for the natural world that God created.

Stephen's early years in Scranton laid a foundation of resilience and character that would define him throughout his life. His journey led him to Campbellsville College, where he earned his Bachelor of Science on May 16, 1976. Stephen's education was not merely academic; it was there that he deepened his understanding of the values of hard work, integrity, and the importance of community.

After college, Stephen dedicated years of service as a Manager at Crestview Hills Mall. His commitment to his work was second only to his commitment to his family and his faith. Stephen's colleagues remember him as a man of principle, always ready to lend a hand or share a word of encouragement.

Stephen's heart found its truest joy in the company of his family. He was a loving husband to his wife, Kimberly, by whose side he peacefully passed away. Together, they shared a life full of love and mutual respect. Stephen was a guiding light to his children: Jon Berry (Joean), Brian Berry (Alissa), Jenny Wallace (Todd), and Kelly Buster (Rick), as well as his stepson, David Faehr. His legacy continues through his grandchildren, Stephen Berry, Kailey Bowlin, Michael Berry, Mackenzie Wallace, Clayton Wallace, Zack Records, and Connor Perry, and his great-grandson, Eli Berry. Stephen was predeceased by his cherished grandson, Matthew Berry, as well as his nephew Tristan Berry.

Stephen was a brother to Dr. Alan Berry (Pat) and Dr. David Berry (Susan), and an uncle to Peter Berry, Chris Berry, and Emily Berry. His role as a brother and uncle was filled with moments of laughter, guidance, and shared faith.

The great outdoors was Stephen's sanctuary, and he found peace in hiking and biking through God's creation. His passion for judo was not just a hobby but a discipline that taught him the balance of strength and gentleness, a balance he carried into all aspects of his life.

Stephen's life was a testament to the love he had for his Creator and for all of God's creation. His gentle spirit and kind heart left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew him. As we reflect on the life of Stephen Thomas Berry, we are reminded of the words of Matthew 5:16: "Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."

We take comfort in knowing that Stephen is now in the presence of his Savior, where he will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. His memory will be cherished, his teachings will continue to guide us, and his love will remain in our hearts until we meet again.
