Steve and I, along with Mark Vuturo and Jim Gonzewski were freshman year roommates at Notre Dame in the 1970´s. We managed to touch base personally from time to time when he came to Cincinnati for a Braves Reds game, but always sent out an annual Christmas message summarizing the full lives he and his family were leading. It was a surprise not to get that message next year, only to receive a message from the Class of `73 informing us of his passing. We´re still processing the fact that he is so suddenly gone and we wish his family peace and may his memory be a blessing. All the Best. Jerry and Rosie baker

So sorry to hear Steven passed. Just watched the Irish beat Georgia and was so proud of Marty's influence on the win. His Dad was a huge fan and is one proud father. RIP Steve, peace to the family.
