Dear Nancy, What wonderful memories we have of Ann Arbor and
EX at 548 S. State Street, and Steve's friendship which was a gift to all of us who knew him. He understood so well the nature and meaning of the word "brotherhood." I have never forgotten over the past 70 years, hitch-hiking from Ann Arbor to Madison via Chicago (on my way to visit my girlfriend, now my wife, Louise at the U of W,) and Steve's insisting that I stay overnight each time in his home on Ridge Avenue in Evanston. His parents and his grandmother were so gracious and I was made to feel part of the family each time I arrived at their doorstep. "A man of good character...! as the fraternity's "Norman Shield" put it, and Steve embodied those words. With love and gratitude, Fred and Louise, Sheboygan, WI

Steve was a great friend and fraternity brother. I ushered in his and Nancy wedding.....an honor.
We played golf and lunched but not enough.
I will remember my good friend for ever.
Thank God , I called him just 2 weeks ago. We had a really nice conversation !
