Stephen L. Bookout

Stephen Larry Bookout, 77 of Willow Springs, Mo went to be with his Lord and Savior on January 24, 2024.
Larry was born on April 13, 1946, to Earl and Lureta (Watkins) Bookout in Wasco, California. Larry attended High School in Dodge City, KS. Larry married Irene Footracer on August 22, 1964. They had five children LaDonna (Ronnie) Moon, Duane (Anita) Bookout, Ronald Bookout, Karen (Douglas) Krapf and Curtis Begay.
On February 3, 2004, Larry married Pattie Pliler. With this union he gained four children Brad (Crystal) Kallansrud, Teina Smith, Fleda Kallansrud, and Jason (Sarah) Kallansrud.
Larry worked 26 years for Wichita Public Schools and ended his career as Supervisor of the Custodial Department. He also spent a few years with the Sedgwick County Sheriff's Department.
Larry enjoyed fishing, camping, and hunting with his family and friends.
Besides his children and wife, Larry is survived by 20 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, cousins in Oklahoma and many nieces and nephews.
Larry was welcomed home in heaven by his parents, his brother Jimmy Bookout, his son Duane S. Bookout and his grandson Zachary S. Taylor.
A Celebration of his life will be Friday, February 2, 2024, at 3 pm at Glorybound Full Gospel Church, 5097 County Road 2980, Willow Springs, Missouri. Arrangements are under the direction of Willow Funeral Home, LLC. Online condolences may be left at www.willowspringsfuneralhome.com.
