Stephen R. Borecky

Stephen R. Borecky, PhD, age 77 of Bethel Park, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2026. Beloved husband of 38 years to Catherine “Cathy” Borecky. Loving father of Michael A. Hennessy. Beloved son of the late Stephen W. and Mary (Dora) Borecky. Loving brother of Mary Jo (Michael) Picklo. Cherished uncle of Jennifer Picklo, Dr. Jessica (Bill Sheets) Picklo and Juliann Picklo. Dr. Borecky was a Professor of Anatomy and Physiology at Carlow University for 47 years and was a Devoted husband, father and teacher. He loved his late Golden Retrievers and is survived by his beloved cats, Jazmine, Jax and Jadzia. Family and friends are welcome to attend a mass of Christian burial on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at 10:00 am in St. Thomas More Church, Resurrection Parish 126 Fort Couch Rd. Pittsburgh 15241. A Celebration of Life will be held immediately following mass in the Family Life Center in the Church (Please bring your favorite “Dr. B” story to share). Burial will be private.
