Obituary published on Legacy.com by Aulds Funeral Home - Shreveport on Dec. 9, 2025.
Stephen Cade was born on January 9, 1989, at Highland Hospital in
Shreveport, Louisiana. He grew up in the Highland neighborhood, where he formed the memories, friendships, and bonds that shaped him into the man he would become. On November 16, 2025, Stephen left this world far too soon, leaving behind a family and community whose hearts will forever feel his absence.
Stephen was a family man in every sense of the word-a loving son, a devoted husband, a proud father, a soon-to-be grandfather, a loyal brother, a cherished uncle, and a faithful friend. He carried each of these roles with deep sincerity and unwavering dedication. Stephen's emotions ran deep; he was open-hearted, expressive, and genuine. A memory his family holds dear is the day their parents prepared to move from their childhood home-Stephen walked through each room with quiet tears in his eyes, honoring the life, laughter, and moments built within those walls. That was Stephen: sincere, sensitive, and full of feeling.
More than anything, Stephen was a devoted husband and father. He loved his wife, Amelia, with a devotion as steady and essential as breath. Together, they built a life filled with love, loyalty, and shared dreams. Stephen raised their three daughters-Adrienn, Kaitlyn, and Roxanna-with tenderness, pride, and unwavering commitment, loving them wholly and unconditionally as his own. One of the brightest joys ahead in his life was the upcoming arrival of his first granddaughter, whom he was eagerly awaiting.
Stephen worked hard and took pride in everything he did. He attended C.E. Byrd High School and later graduated from the CCTC IT Program before building a successful ten-year career as an accomplished CDL driver. No matter the task, Stephen approached it with dedication, responsibility, and heart.
Every day the sun rises without him is dimmer for those who loved him.
Stephen is survived by his beloved wife, Amelia Lunsford Cade; his daughters Adrienn, Kaitlyn, and Roxanna; his parents James and Lisa Cade; his grandmother Eleanor; his siblings Tony, Taylor, and Chelsea, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends who will forever carry his memory. He is preceded in death by his brother Joshua, his grandfather Gerald and his loving companion Turk.
To know Stephen Cade was to know kindness, loyalty, deep feeling, and a heart that loved without limits. His legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched and in the generations who will grow up hearing his name spoken with love.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM, on Friday, December 12, 2025, at Aulds Funeral Home, 7849 East Kings Highway,
Shreveport, Louisiana, 71115.
