Stephen Carl Carey

Stephen Carl Carey, 74, of Milton, FL, passed away Thursday, April 14, 2022.
Steve was born in Marion, Indiana, the first of five children, to Carl H. and Mariam Carey.
Steve traveled the world creating and experiencing life adventures. He was curious, cautious, and confident. He served his country as a captain in the US Navy and upon retirement, as an Army National Guardsman. He was a life flight helicopter pilot and airline pilot instructor. Many of his greatest adventures were sailing on his boats, Tradewind and CILCIA.
Steve's family and friends find it difficult to express the love and loss that we feel for our uncle, brother, friend, step-father, and most of all husband. He will be remembered for his brilliance, his sense of humor, and as a caring, loving, and gentle man. Our loss is deeply felt.
Steve is preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Carl, who passed away on the same date as his older brother.
He is survived by his wife and best friend of 20 years, Donna; step-daughter, Jessica (John) Clore; sisters, Cher, Sue, and Dawn; bonus brother, Mike; sisters-in-law, Gail, Janice, Rebecca, and June; and brother-in-law, Michael; as well as nephews and many dear friends.
