Stephen Everett Chalmers

Steve was one of my closest friends in Ohio University. He first impressed me by playing a Bach fugue on the piano in our dormitory lounge. I read and admired his poems, and we hitch-hiked together in the northeast, on the way to meeting his mother. Steve was a very kind and supportive member of our community. He shared a love of birds and philosophy with everyone. I miss him.
