James Opie
September 17, 2025
Steve was one of my closest friends in Ohio University. He first impressed me by playing a Bach fugue on the piano in our dormitory lounge. I read and admired his poems, and we hitch-hiked together in the northeast, on the way to meeting his mother. Culturally, he was worlds above me, and memories of our times together will remain a blessing. . . . James Opie . . . Ballston Spa, N.Y. . . . [email protected]
