Stephen Lawrence Clark

Stephen Lawrence Clark, 68, died August 26, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family after a long illness. He was born December 28th,1956 in Houlton, Maine, the son of Lawrence Edward and Margaret Jane (Warman) Clark. He graduated from Houlton High School in 1975. He married the love of his life, Kathy Levensailor Clark in December of 1978. They moved to the Portland area right after their marriage where Kathy worked at Maine Medical Center while he got his Associate Degree in Electronic Technology from SMCC in 1981. Steve worked for Fairchild/National Semiconductor for 22 years. During this time, he pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Westbrook College in 1988, which is now the University of New England. After being laid off from National Semiconductor he held Quality Assurance jobs for Enercon in Gray and Auburn and Floatation Technologies in Biddeford making oceanographic buoys for oil rigs. During this time, he also pursued his Master's degree in Healthcare Information Technology from Southern New Hampshire University in 2016. Kathy always referred to him as her professional student as he was always interested in learning new things. Prior to his illness he had been working at the ACE Hardware store in Falmouth. He said this was his favorite job of all as he loved to tinker/fix things and enjoyed helping customers with their projects. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Kathy, one son, Douglas and one Grandson, Lucian all of Falmouth. He is also survived by his father Lawrence of Houlton. His brothers Richard, (Kerstin) Clark of Salem N.H. and Douglas Clark of Presque Isle, niece Melissa Clark of Salem, N.H. and nephew William (Chloe) Clark of Wakefield, Mass. The family would like to thank the staff of the Endoscopy Unit and the Interventional Radiology Unit of Maine Health Medical Center for all the loving care of Steve and Kathy during their numerous visits to these departments over the last 3 years. You are all the most incredible medical professionals. Your compassion and TLC were much appreciated. A Celebration of Life will be held 1PM on Wednesday, September 3rd, 2025, at A.T.
