Stephen "Squirrel" J. Coish, 45, of Binghamton passed away unexpectedly October 30, 2024 at his home. He is survived by his family; his wife Lindsey (MacDonald) Coish; his two beloved sons Thomas and Rhyley Coish; his father Tom (Michele Davis) Smith; siblings Stephanie (Jamal) Cumberbatch, Tommie Smith, Anthony Lawton, Marcia Smith, Hayley Smith; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends, too numerous to list. He was preceded in death by his grandparents who raised him, grandma and grandpa Coish.
Stephen spent much of his life in the Whitney Point area. He was lovingly known by family and friends as "Squirrel". He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan and enjoyed hunting and fishing at Rockbottom Dam and State Park. More than anything he enjoyed spending time with his sons. Currently he was employed at U.S. Venture in Kirkwood.
The viewing will be held 4:00 - 7:00 pm Wednesday November 6, 2024 at the Hopler & Eschbach Funeral Home, 483 Chenango St. Binghamton.
REMEMBER ME
Don't remember me with sadness,
Don't remember me with tears,
Remember all the laughter
We've shared throughout the years.
Now I am contented
That my life was worthwhile,
Knowing as I passed along the way
I made somebody smile.
When you are walking down the street
And you've got me on your mind,
I'm walking in your footsteps
Only half a step behind.
So please don't be unhappy
Just because I'm out of sight,
Remember that I'm with you
Each morning, noon and night.
