Stephen A. Costantino, age 51, of Cranston, Rhode Island passed away on Monday, June 23, 2025 with his loving family at his bedside. He courageously fought a three-year battle with metastatic Melanoma.
Stephen was a beloved and generous husband and father. Stephen was a loving husband to his wife, Lesley (Empey) Costantino for 16 years. He was also a very caring and loving father to his 14-year-old daughter, Aviana Costantino. Stephen was greatly devoted to his family and enjoyed spending as much time as possible with them.
Stephen was born in
Providence, Rhode Island, the beloved son of Gino and Anna Marie (Cioci) Costantino. He is survived by his brother, Glen Costantino, and Glen's wife, Natasha, as well as his sister, Laurie Costantino. Stephen was a fun and loving uncle to his nieces, Abigail and Alessandra Costantino, and will be fondly remembered by many cousins, and friends.
He was a graduate of Classical High School, and received his bachelor's degree from Boston University, and earned his master's in Physical Therapy from University of St. Augustine in Augustine, Florida.
Stephen married his wife on August 23, 2009 in Newport, Rhode Island. His nickname for her was, "sunflower". He made this name up for her, because she liked to wear yellow on their dates. His wife's nickname for him, was "Boboli". This came, because he loved his pizza, and there is a pizza dough in the supermarket called, "Boboli", so after seeing this in the supermarket, his wife kept that nickname. His daughter, Aviana had several nicknames for him, including Blueberry (because he liked wearing blue), and another nickname was "The Empire Builder", because he was in the process of starting his own business.
He will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor. He was always making jokes, and acting silly. He enjoyed his Italian food, cooking on the grille, and spending time with his family. He also was a car enthusiast, and dreamed of having a 20th anniversary white Lamborghini Countach. He also enjoyed spending his annual vacation in Ogunquit, Maine with his wife and daughter. He always loved and looked forward to going to his daughter's ballet performances, and playing basketball with her.
Stephen was a well respected licensed Physical Therapist for over 25 years. He enjoyed helping and treating his patients, and making them feel comfortable by telling jokes at the same time. He always would come home each day after work with a smile on his face.
Stephen was "one of a kind" and he will be missed very much.
