Stephen Flores Obituary
Stephen R. Flores, age 66, a resident of Mountainair, NM, passed away on February 22, 2026. Services are currently pending. He is preceded in death by his son, Domingo Flores; parents, Charlie and Helen Flores; in-laws, Domingo and Valentina Gonzalez; and many uncles, aunts, and cousins. Stephen is survived by his wife, Patricia Flores; son, Ruben Flores (Rebekah); daughters, Victoria Romero (Paul), Opel Flores (Mathew Chavez), Crystal Flores, Ingrid Flores (Derek Benalli), and Destiny Flores; along with all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings; nephews and nieces; cousins; and friends. He was a great man who loved deeply. Stephen will be dearly missed. We love you. Pallbearers will be Paul Romero, Matthew Chavez, Jericho Benalli, Mathew Chavez Jr., Luciano, Domingo, and Alejandro Flores. Honorary pallbearers will be Destiny and Eloy Flores and Jose Gonzales. A quit soul. Not outspoken. But faithful. We in the backfield got all the accolades. Stephen on the offensive line did all the hard work, opened all the holes! I remember well all that you did! You were the reason for our success that year in football. Something tells me the same holds true for your whole family in life. You made it all happen with your steadfast faithfulness.
