On March 26, 2025, of Washington Twp. Age 82. Beloved husband of Marie (nee Branda). Devoted father of Mandie Lafferty (Frank) and Russell Freiman (Terry). Loving grandfather of Stephanie, Scott, and Evan. Proud great-grandfather of Daniel. Cherished uncle of Michele, Natalie, and Jamie. Loved by many nieces and nephews. Survived by his cat Oreo.
Steve's pride presented through years of independent optical sales and, after retiring from sales in 2008, joining the American Red Cross. He held great satisfaction in using his role as Assistant Director for Disaster Relief to arrange shelters and directly helping victims. His contributions to his work led to years of praise and resulted in deep respect. He consistently and gracefully modeled what leadership looked like.
His stories and jokes made his personality shine, which made and still makes him easy to be remembered. He made a difference in every life he touched.
He was truly a force to be reckoned with. He will be greatly missed as a husband, father, pop pop, and great grandfather.
Family and friends are welcome to attend his visitation Friday, April 4th 9:30 – 11:00 AM at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Rd., Washington Twp. Funeral service 11:00 AM.
