Not sure what to say?

Steve and I were good friends while in the Army in Germany in the 70s
Lots of good times and laughs were shared. Steve lived in New Hampshire for a few years after the Army and we continued to share good times. I will cherish those memories for the rest of my days. My sincere thoughts and prayers go out to Beverly and the rest of Steve and Bevs family. He will be missed.
God bless,
Mike Davis

My heart hurts so badly. So many happy memories of all of us at the beach, visiting, Aunt Bev and Steves wedding. Always smiling. Full of joy. Loved & lived out loud. Always happy.
Love yall! I keep yall in my heart and my prayers.

Bro. Steve is a true example of showing the love of Christ. He was always there with a smile, kind word, or pat on the back. I will truly miss his prayers after the penny marches at church for not only those little children, but for all the boys and girls in the whole wide world, and whoever is bringing them up. May we continue his life's mission and prayer.

Praying for Gods peace for your family.
Sending our love,

The last time I saw Steve we were singing together in praise, Go rest high brother.!

Obituary

Stephen's Obituary

Stephen Irby Graves 65, of Osgood, Indiana peacefully entered his heavenly home on April, 20, 2020.

Steve was born on March 20, 1955 in Covington,KY. He attended Holmes High School in Covington, KY.  He served the United States Army and was stationed in Germany. Steve spent most of his working years working at The Greater Cincinnati Airport, most recently working at Hendrix Service Station before retiring to spend cherished time with his family.

Steve was a man of great faith and was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Sunman. His greatest accomplishments were giving his heart to the Lord and marrying his wife Beverly of 22 years.

Steve enjoyed the small things in life.  He enjoyed worshipping his Savior, Jesus Christ, spending time with his family and friends, vacationing, and watching sports.  As an avid sports fan, his favorite teams were the Kentucky Wildcats, the Cincinnati Reds, and the Cincinnati Bengals.

Steve had a huge heart and was well known for watching over others.  He  would be the first person to summon everyone to "get out the pool" before a storm came. His grandchildren were his pride and joy.  He called his nieces and nephews daily to check on them and often looked forward to hearing about their day.

Steve will be greatly missed by his loving wife, Beverly of Osgood, his children Bill (Sarah) Hammer of Saylor Park, Jennifer (Kris) Fette of Osgood, Jessica (Bob Bordner) Hammer of Batesville, sons Derrick and Daren, his beautiful grandchildren, Laney, Lauren, Emerson, Cohen, Ava, and Georgia, many nieces and nephews and his church family.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests In Memory contributions to be made to The First Southern Baptist Church 403 South Meridian Street Sunman, IN 47041. The staff of Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home assisted the family with the arrangements and are honored to serve Stephen's family.
