Stephen Michael Harris

Stephen Michael Harris, known to family and friends as Steve, passed away on January 27, 2026, in Kimball, Michigan, at the age of 55.

Steve was born in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, grew up in Hilltown, Pennsylvania, and lived for nearly 30 years in Mehoopany, Pennsylvania-a place he considered home. He graduated from Upper Bucks Christian School in 1990 and went on to build a life rooted in hard work, family, and the outdoors.

Steve was employed by Haines and Kibblehouse Quarries and Local Operator's Union 542 where he was known for his dedication and strong work ethic. Outside of work, he greatly enjoyed fishing on his boat, hunting, and spending time outdoors. He was a member of the Pennsylvania Draft Horse Association, and one of his greatest passions was raising and showing Belgian draft horses-an experience he shared closely with his son.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Aminta Harris, and his brother, Jeffery Harris.

Steve is survived by his parents, Herbert and Carolyn Harris; his son, Stephen Harris Jr. (Courtney Brown), who was his greatest accomplishment and pride; and his grandson, Walker, and a granddaughter on the way. He is also survived by his brothers, Terry Harris, Mark Harris (Karen); sisters Deborah Jenkins (Jon), Brenda Detweiler (Carl), and Sandra Swartley (Robert); many nieces and nephews; and also his fiance, Peggy Snyder.

Steve will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his love of the outdoors, and the lasting memories he created with those closest to him.
