Stephen John Hausfeld, age 76, passed away May 17, 2025. He was born in Dayton, OH on May 21, 1948.
Stephen graduated from Chaminade High School in 1967. He was a retired City of Dayton Firefighter. After his retirement, he worked for Oberer's and Ed Smith Flowers.
Stephen was a kind and generous person. He loved sports and enjoyed watching the Cincinnati Bengals. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Stephen was preceded in death by his parents, Rhoda and Clayton Hausfeld and his brother, Edward Hausfeld.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Hausfeld; his sons, Matthew Hausfeld and David Hausfeld; his sister, Caroline Sierra; his step-daughters, Robin Wells and Angela Morgan and his grandchildren, Jenna Hausfeld, Logan Hausfeld, Sophia Marsh, Joshua Cantrell and Chrislynn Varno.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 28, 2025 from 5:00pm - 6:00pm with services beginning at 6:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd. Dayton, OH 45424.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Brightwell Family and Dayton Firefighters IAFF Local 136 Scholarship Fund.
