Stephen B. Holderness, 63, of Chalfont, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday May 13, 2025. He was born in Abington, PA to the late Leonard and Lucille Holderness. He is survived by his loving daughter, Christine Sheets (Josh); granddaughters, Bellarose, Avianna; sisters Patrice Raab (Stephen) and Barbara Uhl; devoted friend Kim Wolfrom; many nieces and nephews, and cousins.
Preceded in death by his parents, brother Bruce Holderness, sister Mary Ann Holderness, brother-in-law Matthew Uhl, and niece Katelyn Uhl.
Steve's legacy lives on through his master carpentry skills in the homes and business of many family, friends, and clients. He was a "go-to" for many, someone to count on for help. He made people feel that they were important to him.
Family was the most important part of Steve's life and meant everything to him. He was a proud and loving father and grandfather. Never giving up the fight during his illness; he stayed strong and courageous for them. Steve's advice was to pick yourself up by your bootlaces.
An avid Philadelphia sports fan, Steve especially cheered for the Eagles and the Phillies. The family house in Avalon held a special place in Steve's heart and he loved being there, whether grilling, fishing or just enjoying time with his extended family.
We will miss his quick wit, generosity, and caring heart. Steve's laughter was heard throughout the house even on his last day here on earth. As always, telling it as it is, always a straight shooter.
"We hope you are dancing in heaven, free and joyful, surrounded by eternal light and love".
Family and Friends are invited to a Visitation on Thursday May 22, 2025 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish, 4050 Durham Rd, Ottsville, PA 18942, from 12:30 pm until the Funeral Mass at 1:30pm. His interment will be private.
