Surrounded by his loving family, Stephen George Huber passed away peacefully on November 1, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Michaela Huber, with whom he shared 46 wonderful years together and 45 years of marriage. Stephen was the devoted son of the late John and Marguerite Huber, and cherished brother of Charlotte Huber and her late husband Hatch, the late John Huber and his wife Mary Huber, Peggy Laubach and husband John, the late Lou Huber and his wife May, the late Charles Huber and his wife Dorothy. He was the proud and loving father of Debbie and her husband Vince Vonlossberg, Dawn and her husband Shannon Boyd, Robin Poling, Lisa and her husband Bruce Fedorka, Amy and her husband Dave Gutberlet, and Stephen J. Huber. Stephen was adored by his grandchildren Ryan, the late Norman, Dan, Casey, Rob, Sabrina, Stephanie, Zachary, Tessa, Stevie J., Matthew, and Emma, and great-grandchildren Meriah, Mekenna, Nathan, Anthony, Sophia, Holden, Delta, Kristofer, and Abel.
Stephen was a hardworking man who took great pride in his profession and his service. He served in the United States Navy from 1963 to 1969.He was a dedicated member of Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 486 for 55 years and worked with Giant for 30 years before retiring in 1999. Known for his quick wit, friendly smile, and kind heart, Stephen was always someone you could count on for a good conversation or a helping hand. He was an avid fisherman and camper, a talented handyman, and above all, a devoted family man who loved spending time with those closest to him. His warmth, humor, and generosity touched everyone who knew him—he truly had a kind word and a smile for everyone.
Family and friends are invited to gather at E.F. Lassahn Funeral Home, P.A., 11750 Belair Road, Kingsville, where visitation will be held from 2–4 PM and 6–8 PM on Friday, November 7th. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Church, Fullerton, on Saturday, November 8th at 9:30am. Interment will follow at Oak Lawn Cemetery.
