Elizabeth “Ellen” Eagan 

Elizabeth “Ellen” Eagan, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, passed away on October 2, 2025. She was predeceased by her devoted husband of 63 years, Henry Eagan; her parents, Emery and Lenetta Pittman; her sister-in-law, Lore Pittman; and her brother-in-law, Joseph Knoedler. She is survived by her loving children: Susan Patten and her husband Kevin, Glenn Eagan and his wife Marcel, and Karen Ellis and her husband John. Ellen’s legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren: Benjamin Patten, Jennifer Stran and her husband Ryan, Cara Eagan, Aaron Hunter and his wife Kristen Hunter, Jonathan Ellis, Nathan Ellis, Katelyn Ellis, and Zachary Ellis; and her adored great-grandchildren: Brecken Patten, Lorelei Patten, Gavin Stran, Arya Stran, Lucas Stran, Derek Hunter, and Owen Hunter. She is also survived by her siblings; Richard Pittman, Linda Hiort and her husband Guenter, and Carol Knoedler.

Ellen was a dedicated homemaker who found great joy in caring for her family. She loved baking and was happiest when surrounded by those she loved, especially during family gatherings and holidays—Christmas being her favorite time of year. Her warmth and hospitality were felt by everyone who entered her home. A devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Ellen took pride in her family and treasured every moment spent with them. She was also an avid reader and enjoyed listening to music, often filling her home with melodies and stories that reflected her kind spirit and vibrant personality.

Family and friends will be received at the E.F. Lassahn Funeral Home, P.A., 11750 Belair Road in Kingsville, on Wednesday, October 8th, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fullerton, 8420 Belair Road, on Thursday, October 9th at 10 a.m.

For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made in Ellen’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org.
