Stephen "Iwan" Iwanicki, 57, of Avon Lake, Ohio and formerly of Toledo, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, December 1, 2021 surrounded by beloved family and friends after a courageous two year fight with Multiple Myeloma. He was born July 13, 1964 in Toledo, Ohio to Lawrence Iwanicki and Marilyn (nee Kwiatkowski) Maier.
Steve grew up in Toledo and was a 1982 graduate of St. John High School. He attended Bowling Green State University he earned his bachelor's degree in 1987. He became a valued member of their sales team and enjoyed a 30-year career in sales where he met many incredible customers and colleagues whom he was honored to also call friends. Ross was always very supportive of Steve through his career and illness.
Steve's life became complete when he met Kymberli Maschgan, and the two married in 1997. Kym was the love of his life, and their love grew as they welcomed a daughter, followed by a son. Kym passed away suddenly in 2015 after only 19 years together. Steve made it a point to share experiences with his kids, taking them to concerts and spending time at Lake Erie riding jet skis and enjoying the beach.
Steve enjoyed traveling and collecting various items including Marvel Comics and Pez dispensers. He had a love of music, the more eclectic the better. Above all, Steve's many friends will remember him as a loving father and tenacious fighter against his illness.
