Stephen “Steve” Patrick Kellaher, 88, passed away at home on December 7, 2025. He was the 4th of 8 children of William from New York and Alice from Tipperary Ireland. Originally born in Brooklynn, NY, Steve grew up and spent most of his life in Maryland. He was in the Army and the Reserves for a total of 6 years before working for the U.S. Department of Treasury for over 30 years.
Steve strongly identified as a patriotic Irish-American and a die-hard Washington Redskins fan. He will be forever known for his karate kicking dance moves, his good sense of humor, and deep knowledge of old movies. He will be dearly missed by his daughter Denise and son Steve, Jr. In addition to his daughter and son, Steve is survived by his sisters Eileen and Marie, brother Pat, and 21 nieces and nephews (and their spouses and children), here specifically named: little Will, Billy, Lori, Gene, Michael, Susie, Lisa, Frank, Danny, Bonnie, Stacy, Frankie Jo, Will, Dolly, Colleen, Frank, little Chuck, Kelli, little Mike, Kevin, and little Pat. He will also be remembered by his son-in-law Jay and Jay’s daughters Monika and Raquel, and his loving caregiver Veronica. By the grace of our Heavenly Father, Steve has joined Jesus, his parents and his siblings (Bill, Gene, Frank and Alice) with all the angels and beautiful souls in heaven.
