Stephen Lewis Obituary
Published by Legacy on Sep. 24, 2025.
Stephen Lewis, 67, of Hudson, Florida, passed away on September 8, 2025.
He was born in New Brunswick, New Jersey, on November 6, 1956. Instead of high school, he graduated from trade school and received a mastery in custom carpentry and cabinetry from an NJ trade school.
He spent the last 43 years with Toni DiMuzio as her loving spouse, always by her side through thick and thin. They believed their love was deeper than marriage, so they chose a common law practice instead. Dedicated heart and soul to each other, they raised four incredibly wonderful and skilled children and multiple grandchildren. Steve and Toni used their love for one another to build the perfect family foundation, teaching their children that no matter what happens, family will always come first.
Stephen Lewis worked in a long and cherished career involving many skilled trades, including but not limited to custom cabinetry, high-end remodels, complex multifaceted repair, mastery of woodwork and carpentry, and large-scale remodels. He also perfected new construction and commercial installations. God gave him a wonderful gift, and he used it every day for multiple companies, as well as his own company, S&N Installations, which he chose to name after himself and his talented son, Nicholas. In his latter years, he also enjoyed working with DoorDash, having always loved making customers smile.
Having learned things most of us only wish we could, he passed almost all of his skills to his daughter, Alicia Stawowy, as well as his sons, Nick and Ronnie. Steve had a passion for spending time with his four grandchildren and his children. He loved teaching his kids his craft and took great pride in watching them succeed. He loved many things, especially small repairs and making people happy. He had an amazing sense of humor, which he passed on to his children.
Steve was always building something-sometimes a toy box for the grandkids, other times furniture for the love of his life. He also enjoyed fishing, relaxing at the beach, and capturing photos of Florida's beautiful Gulf Coast sunsets. He loved traveling when he could, swimming, and listening to old cassette tapes, saying, "They just don't have bands like that anymore." Above all, he loved being with Toni, his love. Doing the things she enjoyed made him happier than almost anything else-except perhaps spending time with his grandsons. Aiden, Aaron, Gabriel, and Zaine will miss Grandpa in a way that will never be easy, but he will live on in them, and they will realize this as they grow.
He is survived by his spouse, Toni DiMuzio; his daughter, Alicia Ramona Stawowy; his sons, Nicholas Paul Lewis and Ronald John Bankston III; his stepdaughter, Shannon Reyes; and many grandchildren, each of whom he adored and was deeply involved in their lives. His grandchildren include Aiden Lewis, Aaron Lewis, Gabriel Lewis, and Zaine Lewis, as well as Katlyn Lewis, the daughter of his late son Stephen Jr. He is also survived by Thomas Caldwell, Dominick Bankston, and several other grandchildren.
