Stephen Lippiello Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Boylan-Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. - Cranberry Twp on Mar. 5, 2026.
Stephen A. Lippiello, 96, was called home to the Lord on Thursday, February 19, 2026. He was born on August 27, 1929, in East Liberty, but he called Bloomfield home for the majority of his life once he married his beloved wife Carolyn (Sciullo) Lippiello.

He is survived by his children, Stephen M. Lippiello (Celeste) and Lisa Scalone (John) as well as his grandchildren: Christopher, Julianna, Alexander and Anthony. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Carolyn as well as his brothers, Dominick Lippiello and John Lippiello.

He was blessed with numerous nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by all.

He was a graduate of Westinghouse High School and was also an Army veteran serving during the Korean War. Steve worked at Automotive Manufacturer's Warehouse until retirement. He then worked part time at St. Francis Hospital delivering interoffice mail until the hospital closed. It was during this time that he developed a love for walking. That passion only increased through the years, and he continued to walk daily even to the age of 96. He will be remembered through Bloomfield for his love of walking, often inspiring others to take an extra step or two.

Steve was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. His family was his priority, especially his grandchildren. He was ever present for his grandkids, always supporting their activities, and he cherished the time he spent with them.

Upon the passing of his wife, Steve found a new community of friends at the local senior center. He was known there for his quiet demeanor, quick wit and love of Bingo. His participation there helped to keep him engaged, happy, and comforted.

The family will receive all family, friends and guests on Thursday, March 12, 2026 at 9:30 am until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am at Divine Grace Parish/St. Ferdinand Catholic Church, 2535 Rochester Road, Cranberry Twp., PA 16066.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to your charity of choice in his name.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Boylan-Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home & Cremation Svcs., Inc., 130 Wisconsin Ave., Cranberry Twp., PA 16066.

Earlier today

Lisa, Steve and families, you have my deepest sympathy! Your sweet dad and grandfather will always be "Unc" to me! I remember how he always had time to play and joke around with us when we were kids. Even as adults he always greeted us with a smile on his face. I often think of your parents, our mom and Aunt Fran on their Friday nights out together and how they looked forward to that every week. Your dad and mom were loved by a lot of people in the community too! He will be greatly missed, but I´m sure my dear Aunt Care was waiting for him with open arms! L, your cousin Sue
