Nancy L. Bertoni

1941 - 2026

Nancy Louise (Jeannette) Bertoni, 84, of Penn Hills, passed away peacefully at her home in the evening of March 4, 2026. She was born on Dec. 9, 1941, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Peter Jeannette, a City of Pittsburgh police officer, and Anna Maria (Tumolo) Jeannette. Nancy was a graduate of Westinghouse High School and worked at Peoples Natural Gas Company for over 25 years. Nancy loved to go dancing and took the opportunity whenever it arose. She was a kind and unique person who loved her friends and family dearly. She is survived by her two sons, David (MaryBeth) Bertoni and Christopher (Mary) Bertoni; grandchildren, Samantha (Tony) Caldro, Nicholas Bertoni, Carlo Bertoni, and Domenic Bertoni; a great-granddaughter, Aury Caldro; nephew, Steven Jeannette; amazing caregiver, Erica Fraser; and her loving dog, Buster. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Theodore (Teddy) Jeannette; and her longtime partner who she forever missed, Andrew Tirpak. We will miss you, Lovie! Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, March 9, at SOXMAN FUNERAL HOMES LTD., 7450 Saltsburg Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15235. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, at St. Bernadette Church, Christ the Divine Shepherd Parish, 245 Azalea Dr., Monroeville, PA 15146. The family requests everyone to please meet at the church on Tuesday morning. Interment in Mt. Carmel Cemetery to follow. In lieu of flowers and to honor Nancy's love of animals, memorial contributions are encouraged to an animal charity of choice.
