Stephen McGrath Obituary
Stephen “Steve” Luke McGrath, 82, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2025 with his family by his side.
A graduate of St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa, Steve proudly served in the 101st Airborne in the U.S. Army. A dedicated member of the Rotary Club, he lived by its motto, “Service Above Self.”
Steve is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Barbara Lee McGrath; sons Brian (Denise) and Marc (Kara); nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Doug McGrath. He is also survived by his sisters, Sr. Sheila McGrath, Sheila Ogilvie, and Maribeth Kolb (Greg); daughter in law, Shawna McGrath.
Visitation and funeral will be February 2, 2025 at Lord & Stephen’s Funeral Home, Watkinsville, Ga. Visitation is from 12pm-1pm with the service at 1pm. Internment to follow the service at Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Brain Tumor Society or the charity of your choice.
