Stephen Allen Moore was born on May 27, 1958, to the late Christopher Columbus Moore and Dorothy Moore. He was a member of St James Missionary Baptist Church.
Stephen attended Madisonville North Hopkins High School. He worked as a brick layer, and also worked at First Methodist Church, Big B Cleaners, Tyson Food, Regional Medical Center, as well as several other jobs.
He loved fishing, spending time with his friends and family, working on cars, and making people laugh. Stephen also enjoyed sitting out in front of his home, waving at people driving past.
Stephen left this earth on August 8, 2025, surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Christopher Columbus Moore and Dorothy Moore; two sisters, Faye Moore and Cynthia Stafford; three brothers, Dal’wone (Laura) Moore, Jerry Moore, and Larry Moore.
He leaves behind four daughters, Melissa Gaither of Madisonville, Faydasha (Levi) Nicholson of Madisonville, Misty Wells of Louisiana, and Ashley Gaither of Henderson; four sons, Nicholas (Shonda) Moore of Alabama, Steven (Kristi) Gaither of Madisonville, Derek (Lindsay) Williams of Alabama, and Bryson Young of Dawson Springs; two sisters, Doris Moore and Stella White, both of Madisonville; two brothers, Benjamin (Tracy) Moore of Madisonville and Tavaras Moore of Dallas; beloved wife, Vicki Herman; Special Companion, Myra Wilkes; caregiver, Barbara Whitsel. Stephen also leaves behind a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, aunts, uncles, many friends and family, and his beloved dog Prince.
