Stephen Jay Pearson

BROOKLINE, NH/ PEPPERELL: : Stephen Jay Pearson passed away unexpectedly April 28th, 2024 at his home in Brookline, N.H.
Steve was born in Wakefield. September 26, 1947.to the late Ernest & Evelyn (Fogg) Pearson.
After graduating from Wakefield High School Steve went on to receive a Bachelor's degree from Andover Institute of Business.
After graduating college he worked full-time as a carpet installer & part-time as a valet at the Colonial in Lynnfield alongside his brother Ronnie & brother-in-law Lenny, where he earned the nickname "Blue".
Steve went on to marry and bought his first home in Newburyport. where he raised his daughters before moving to Pepperell, in 1978.
Always a hard-worker and handyman, Steve opened his Pearson Floor Covering Stores in Pepperell & Ayer.
He was a respected and successful businessman.
He had also bought & sold rental properties in Pepperell and went on to purchase his Dream Camp in Maine on Parker Pond where he enjoyed many family vacations and cookouts. He also enjoyed visiting his family Fogg Homestead in Readfield, Maine. Steve enjoyed many of his favorite hobbies including farming, fishing, and gardening. Steve also enjoyed boating on the ocean & R.Ving.
Steve enjoyed Life to the fullest, had an infectious belly laugh, loved to tell jokes, stories and have a few beers. Was a wonderful prankster, always fun to be around and of course was always smiling.
Steve had crystal blue eyes and embraced his Swedish ancestry.. Steve was an accomplished dancer and had a passionate love for animals.Steve was a true family man and a great friend to many and will be missed.
Steve is survived by his beloved daughters and best friends, Dawn Rene Pearson of Hampton, N.H., Sheila Pearson Bowie of New Smyrna Beach, FL; his long term partner Cynthia Funaiole of Brookline, NH; his sister, Andrea Pearson Law & her husband Steve Law Greenland, NH; five grandchildren, Alexis Bowie, George Bowie, Zac Pearson of All of New Smyrna Beach, FL Caleigh Thielbar Lee of Richmond, VA and John "J.J." Budenas of Springfield. he also leaves three great grandchildren, Maura Lee, Nora Lee and Theodore Lee as well as several nieces and nephews.
Steve was pre-deceased by his daughter Kelly Pearson, his brother Ron Pearson, and his sister, Roberta "Sunny" Welsh.
A Celebration of Life is Planned for Sat. June 8th 6-9 p.m. Pepperell VFW Hall. Public Welcome.
