Stephen J. Pellecchia Jr.

Stephen J. Pellecchia, Jr. 88, of Berkeley Township, passed away July 13, 2022. Born and raised in Hoboken, Steve lived in Jersey City, Weehawken, Paramus for 26 years, before settling in Berkeley Township 23 years ago. Before retiring he was an owner/operator Truck driver for the Teamsters Local 560 in Union City for over 50 years. Steve worked for the Ocean County Board of Elections for 17 years, worked as a starter for Hanover Golf Course, was a member, past President and past Vice-President of the Berkeley Township Board of Education since 2007, served as Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the Berkeley Township Sewerage Authority since 2010, served as past Holiday City West trustee, President of the Regular Republican Organization of Berkeley Township and served for over 20 years and also served as Chairman of many board committees.
Preceded in death by his Parents Stephen and Mary (nee Cerbo) Pellecchia, Sr. Beloved husband of Nancy (nee Corso) Pellecchia. Devoted father of Denise Pellecchia of Bayville, Annette Psihoules and husband Michael of Township of Washington and Stephen Pellecchia and wife Monica of Toms River. Loving grandfather of Richie, Eric, Christopher, Jonathan, Vincent, Suzie and great grandfather of Emily, Gianna, Anthony, Jackson, Beau, Isabella and Witt. Dear brother of Theresa Gorman and the late Anthony, Ralph, Mike, Nicky, Vincent Pellecchia, Rose Malfetti, Connie Naparono, Madeline Duffy, Rachel Pizzo, Vera Dyson and Dolly Pellecchia. Cherished uncle and cousin to many nieces, nephews and cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral on Monday, July 18, 2022, 9:00 AM at Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd. Toms River, then to St. Maximilian Kolbe Church, 130 St. Maximilian Ln, Toms River, for a 10:00 AM Funeral Mass. Private Cremation to follow. Visitation Sunday 2:00 – 6:00 PM at Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd. Toms River.
