Stephen Petrignani Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Scarponi-Bright Funeral Home, Inc. on Dec. 28, 2025.
Stephen "Steve" John Petrignani, age 51, of Lebanon Twp., NJ, passed away suddenly on Friday, December 26, 2025, at Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Twp., NJ.

Steve was born on November 13, 1974 in New Brunswick, NJ. Steve was the loving husband of Caitlin, whom he shared 14 beautiful years together and the loving father to Carmela and Charlee. He spent his childhood years in Matawan, NJ before moving to Morganville, NJ. In 2021, they moved to Califon, NJ together, buying the property of their dreams.

Steve was currently working as an Equipment Operator for Jersey Central Power and Light since 2016. In addition, he also did tons of mechanic work on the side, having his own garage at his home. He was a jack of all trades and was always willing to lend a hand at any given time. He was truly selfless, always wanting to help people. His hard work and dedication made a huge everlasting impact.

Steve had a great sense of humor. Most of the time you would catch him laughing. He always brought a positive vibe to anywhere he went. He could strike aconversation with anyone. He was very creative and artistic, always coming up with new projects to work on. He loved to see how things work and come together.

He had a true gift of cooking, no matter the event, Steve would be making something special. Steve also loved camping and traveling. He was part of the NJ/PA Camping Club and recently made trips to Alaska, Maine, Rhode Island, Lake George and many more.

Most importantly, he loved his family and friends. His three girls were his world. Everything he did was for them and he always made sure his girls were taken care of. Out of all the things Steve accomplished in his life, being a husband and father were by far, his greatest.

In addition to his loving wife and beloved daughters, he is survived by an abundance of family and friends.

Calling hours will take place on Thursday, January 1, 2026, from 4-8pm at Scarponi-Bright Funeral Home, 26 Main St., Lebanon, NJ.
