Stephen Randy Reid, age 51, of Corbin, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2025.
He leaves behind his mother, Karen Minton; his father, Carl Reid & wife Tamera; his brother, Brian Reid & wife Kristy of London, KY; his aunts and uncles, Russell Wayne Reid & Pat, Bruce Reid & Wanda, Debbie Moore & Kenny, Joe Reid & Connie, Donna Lindy, Violet Reid, Jr. Grubb, Dennis Minton, Mac Minton & Dana, Wilma Minton; plus a host of other family and friends to cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Osborne "P-Nut"; and by several aunts and uncles, James Reid "Sonny", Gerri Longsworth, Charlotte Grubb, Mary Lou Reid, Robert Reid, Don Minton & Sue Minton.
Randy was a quiet and gentle soul who leaves behind cherished memories for those who knew and loved him. He earned a Master's degree in Education from Eastern Kentucky University, a testament to his dedication to learning and personal growth.
He worked in the Lawn and Garden department at Lowe's, where his appreciation for flowers and plants shone through in all he did. At home, he found peace in caring for his space and took pride in keeping everything clean and in order.
Randy was a private man who found comfort in solitude and the simple pleasures of life. He shared a deep and special bond with his beloved dog, Lucy, who was his constant companion and dearest friend. He also enjoyed shopping online, always on the lookout for something new or useful to add to his life.
Randy will be remembered for his quiet strength, kind heart, and the love he poured into his home, his work, and his faithful Lucy.
A memorial service honoring Stephen Randy Reid will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2025 at 7:00 PM in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Thursday beginning at 6:00 PM until the service hour, also at the funeral home. The family has trusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements.
