Stephen Leonard Riebel, 58, of Shoreview, passed away on August 24, 2025, after a courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Born on December 19, 1966, to Cornelius Albert "Rip" and Jo Anne Riebel in St. Paul, Minnesota, Steve graduated from Mahtomedi High School and attended Stout University. He spent his professional career at Norm's Tire, where his determination and kindness made him a valued salesman. In 1989, Steve met Emily McCabe while they were both working at Amoco. They were married on November 24, 1995, and together they had two daughters: Kieran Anne (26) and Keaton Jane (22). He cherished and took great pride in his daughters. Steve was predeceased by his parents, Rip and Jo. He is survived by his wife, daughters, and his brothers: Bradley, Brian, Grant, and Eric Riebel, along with their families. He is also survived by his in-laws: Tony, Judy, Eric, and Aaron McCabe, and their families. Steve will be remembered for his love, determination, generosity, and the many times he walked around the block. Join us for a picnic in honor of Steve on September 28, 2025. The event will take place at the Snail Lake Park Pavilion, located at 4191 Snail Lake Blvd, Shoreview, from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Whether you were close to him or only knew him casually, we invite you to come and share your stories. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the National MS Society.
