The Seymour family and church family of Jesus Saves Int'l Church sadly announce the passing of Pastor Steve F. Seymour. Born May 11, 1961, in Martinez, he went home to be with Jesus during morning service on February 8, 2026, at Jesus Saves Int'l Church in Shafter.
Pastor Steve loved his sweetheart, Lori, with all his heart. Married for 30 beautiful years, theirs was a rare and steadfast love. He deeply loved his family, church family, and friends.
A man of integrity, infectious laughter, and abiding joy, Pastor Steve's devotion to his Lord and Savior was evident in every part of his life. Beyond the pulpit, he was a skilled carpenter, who dedicated years of service to TIC and KSI. He mastered welding and pipe fitting and earned a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, striving for excellence in both his craft and his calling. Whether building structures or building lives, he worked wholeheartedly unto the Lord.
Once bound by drugs and alcohol, he walked into Shafter Teen Challenge in April 1994, where God transformed his life. After graduating, he devoted himself to preaching the Gospel with a heart grounded in Scripture, prayer, and the power of the Holy Spirit.
Pastor Steve faithfully served his church and community-providing food monthly to hundreds of families and bringing joy to children through toy giveaways, especially at Christmas. He believed ministry meant meeting both spiritual and practical needs.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Tim Seymour, and sister, Tina Seymour. He is survived by his beloved wife, Pastor Lori Seymour; sons, Stephen and Jesse; nine grandchildren; parents, Martha & Billy McKay and Floyd & Patty Seymour; and sisters, Cheryl, Brenda, and Becky.
