It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Stephen Shaw, who left us peacefully on Monday May 27th at home surrounded by his family. At the age of 72, Steve left behind a legacy of love, laughter and countless cherished memories that will forever be imprinted in the hearts of all who knew him.
After graduating from Lansdowne Aldan High School, Steve enlisted in the US Navy. He graduated from the police academy and worked for Penn Central Railroad Police department (later turned to Conrail and Norfolk Southern) for over 35 years until retirement.
Steve is survived by his wife of 52 years, Theresa. His children, Krista (Kevin), Kimberly (Kirk) and Stephanie (Enrique); his grandchildren, Dennis (Miranda), Tyler, Hailee, Zane, Reece, Ethan, Cole and Rylan; and his great-grandchildren Penny, Wyatt and Viola. He also leaves behind a loving sister and two brothers.
Steve had a heart of gold and fiercely loved his family. He always put others first and lived by the golden rule of treating others the way you want to be treated. He would attend every birthday and family event with a video camera. He showed up to every grandchild’s sporting event taking pictures and cheering on the sidelines. He would give his daughters dish towels for each holiday to display in their houses as adults, buy chocolate covered strawberries for his wife, carry treats in his pocket for his grand puppies and buy matchbox cars for his grandkids every time he went to the acme. He was one of a kind and will be missed tremendously by all who knew and loved him. His memory will live on in our hearts forever.
Relatives and friends are invited to Stephen’s Visitation, Monday, June 2, 2025 at 10:00am at the Knoetgen-Donohue Funeral Home, 746 Kedron Avenue Morton, PA 19070, followed by his Funeral Service at 11:00am. Interment will follow at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
