Stephen Nicholas Socotch, age 33, left this world too soon on October 12, 2025. His early childhood years were spent adventuring the woods with his sister and dogs in the Uhrichsville, Ohio area, but he grew up in Canal Fulton. He was an Eagle Scout who lived his life with curiosity, kindness, and a deep love for wilderness and animals. Stephen was incredibly smart, witty, and charming and truly enjoyed trying to lift the spirits of those around him. He graduated from Kent State University and became a talented quality improvement analyst in many companies throughout his career. He was the best “Uncle Steve- O" to his two cherished nephews, Tyler and Anthony, and his happiest times were spent with his family, animals, and friends.

He joins his beloved mother, Cheryl Socotch-Gue, in Heaven- a reunion we know is filled with love and a much-needed peace. He leaves behind his loving father, David Socotch (Rhonda); devoted sister, Elora Spino (Scott); motherly aunt, Lori Reeves (late Thomas), caring step-father, Jim Gue, and many other aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Stephen’s spirit, laughter, and love will continue to live on forever in our hearts. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that friends and loved ones plant a living tribute tree in memory of Stephen.
