Stephen L. Sternthal

Stephen L. Sternthal, age 88, of Sharon, PA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 26, 2025, in UPMC Jameson Hospital, New Castle, PA.
Born September 4, 1936, in Sharon, PA, he was the son of the late Stephen and Mary Catherine (Harger) Sternthal.
He married the former Doris Elinore Horne on September 7, 1957 and she preceded him in death on September 21, 2018.
Steve was a graduate of Sharon High School and worked as a millwright for Youngstown Sheet and Tube for 29 years, before retiring in 1978. He then went on to work for the Pennsylvania Welcome Center, retiring in 1998.
In his spare time Steve liked to do carpentry and electrical work. He was a member of the Clark Trinity United Methodist Church.
Surviving are two brothers, Joe Sternthal, of Greenville, PA, and Edward Sternthal, of Sharon, PA, three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Stephen W. Sternthal, a daughter, Kim Renee Sternthal and two brothers Michael and Robert Sternthal.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Harold W. Stevenson Funeral home LLC, 264 E. State Street, Sharon, PA, 16146. A funeral service will follow at 6:00 PM in the funeral home, with Pastor William J. Locke officiating. Burial will be in Morefield Cemetery.
