Stephen Strzepek

Stephen John Strzepek (retd CPD), 73, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 11, 2024. He was surrounded by the love and support of his children, family, and friends. Steve was born on October 27, 1951, of the late Leonard and Victoria, nee Leszczynski, Strzepek. He married the love of his life, the late Susan, nee Stewart, in 1976. He was a devoted father of Lauren (Matthew) Esposto, Lindsey (Reese) Johnson, and Ryan (Talin Tokat) Strzepek. Beloved grandfather to William (2.5 years) and Sophia (15 months) Esposto and Ronan (22 months) Strzepek. Fond brother to Michael (Janet) Strzepek and Nancy Strzepek. Treasured Uncle, Friend, and Neighbor to many.
Steve spent 38 years dedicated to the Chicago Police Department in many capacities. In his spare time, he loved supporting his children, going to dinner and a show, was an avid hunter and fisherman, enjoyed golfing and shopping, and spending time with his friends and family. He was loved and cherished by many and will be truly missed.
Visitation Tuesday, December 17th from 3-8pm at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 6150 N. Cicero Ave., Chicago IL 60646. Funeral Wednesday, December 18th, 9:30am from the funeral home to Queen of All Saints Basilica, 6280 N Sauganash Ave, Chicago, IL 60646, for a funeral Mass at 10am. Interment Irving Park Cemetery.
